How the builder works

  1. 1

    Type titles, skills, and filters

Job titles become one OR group (up to 6 alternates), skills become another (up to 8), with optional location and minimum experience for Naukri. Pick a role cluster to load real examples in one click.

  2. 2

    Copy the dialect you need

Three strings assemble live as you type: plain Boolean for your ATS, site:linkedin.com/in/ for Google X-Ray, and title()/skill() field codes for Naukri RMS. Each block names exactly where to paste it.

  3. 3

    Verify and run

Paste any string into the free Boolean lint to confirm clean syntax, then run it in the platform's own search box and screen what comes back.

One input, three strings

Titles “Finance Manager” and “FP&A Manager”, skills “Financial Modeling” and “SAP”, Mumbai, 5 years. The builder turns that into:

ATS Boolean

SmartRecruiters, Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse

("Finance Manager" OR "FP&A Manager") AND ("Financial Modeling" OR SAP) AND "Mumbai"

LinkedIn X-Ray

Paste into Google to target site:linkedin.com/in/

site:linkedin.com/in/ ("Finance Manager" OR "FP&A Manager") AND ("Financial Modeling" OR SAP) AND "Mumbai"

Naukri RMS

Field codes for Naukri RMS / Instahyre

title(("Finance Manager" OR "FP&A Manager")) AND skill(("Financial Modeling" OR "SAP")) AND location("Mumbai") AND exp(5)

Three dialects, three boxes

A string that works in one search box can silently return nothing in another. Each block uses only its own platform's syntax.

ATS

Plain Boolean only: quoted phrases, uppercase operators, parenthesized OR groups. No Google operators, no field codes, max two nesting levels.

LinkedIn X-Ray

Leads with site:linkedin.com/in/ so Google searches public LinkedIn profiles. Exclusions as -term, exactly as Google expects them.

Naukri RMS

Leads with title(...) and uses skill(), location(), and exp() field codes. Every term quoted, even single words, as that is what Naukri parses.

Boolean builder FAQs

Is the Boolean builder really free?

Yes. Unlimited strings, no login, no credits. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no account to create and nothing to pay. The free standalone tools stay free; only the workspace pipeline with AI screening and outreach is paid.

Which platforms do the strings work on?

Three dialects: plain Boolean for applicant tracking systems like SmartRecruiters, Workday, Taleo, and Greenhouse; Google X-Ray strings targeting site:linkedin.com/in/ for public LinkedIn profiles; and Naukri RMS field-code strings for Naukri and Instahyre. Indeed, CV X-Ray, and Bing dialects need the workspace generator, which writes all six from a full job description.

How is this different from the JD to 3 strings tool?

The builder assembles strings deterministically from the titles and skills you type: unlimited, instant, no AI. The JD to 3 strings tool parses a whole job description with AI and is limited to 3 conversions a day. Use the builder for control, JD to 3 for speed.

Do my inputs leave my browser?

No. The builder makes zero network calls. Every keystroke recomputes the three strings locally. Close the tab and your titles and skills are gone; nothing is sent, stored, or logged.

Will these strings pass a syntax check?

They are designed to: quoted multi-word phrases, uppercase operators, parenthesized OR groups, nesting depth of two or less, and one dialect per string with no mixed operators. Paste any output into the free Boolean lint to verify before you run it.
